2-Day Bwindi Gorilla Tour Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi.

You will have an early pickup by our driver guide from your hotel in Kigali to transfer to the Rwanda-Uganda border via Cyanika or Katuna to connect to the sector where you will be trekking the gorillas. You will arrive at your accommodation in Bwindi around midday to have lunch and check into your lodge. In the afternoon, you will go for a community tour or a nature walk to explore the beauty of the surroundings and local culture. You will then drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and transfer back to Kigali

In the morning, the driver will pick you up from the hotel to head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing from the rangers, you will head out for the great adventure and gorilla experience! Begin the trek into the impenetrable forest to locate the gentle giants. The time taken to encounter the mountain gorillas depends on their movements, and the trek can take 2 to 6 hours. Once you find gorillas, you will be allowed one hour of observation. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and drive back to Kigali, which marks the end of your safari.
